Designed Stairs has pre-designed hundreds of stair plans in order to provide architects and contractors with cost-effective designs for milled stairs and high quality rails.
What is a catalog stair?
In the same way that you would select pre-designed windows for a home from a “catalog,” you can select one of our pre-designed stairs for a custom new-build home. Use our drawings on your blueprints to ensure there is the proper space for the stair you want.
It is best to plan at the print stage to ensure the correct space is allotted. Use our drawings on your blueprint. Once construction starts, request a framing detail to ensure all framing coordinates with the stair layout on your plan and ensure a proper fit upon arrival.
Catalog stairs are available in many hardwood species and many design styles. We offer a wide selection of balustrade (newel post, hand rail, and baluster) component styles.
Stairs are delivered by Designed Stairs throughout the Midwest and shipped common carrier throughout the United States and internationally.
Why use a catalog stair?
Our catalog stairs offer a luxury hardwood stair to projects where this level of fine quality has been inaccessible. Previously, this level of quality stairs has only been available from highly skilled stair craftsmen built on site. Catalog stairs provide the ease of an assembled stair combined with the design flexibility of a custom product.
